一、恩師沒有向麥君所述的師傅學習過武術;

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
Recently, Mr. Mak Che Kong (麥志剛), a 4th generation member of our Lam Family Hung Kuen lineage, shared an online video (https://youtu.be/9dDAxNlX4XA) which contained factually inaccurate information about our beloved Sifu, Great Grandmaster Lam Cho (林祖). In the relevant video, Mr. Mak stated that our Sifu had learnt a certain Kung Fu set from a famous Grandmaster of another style of Kung Fu. However, we must point out that Mr. Mak’s statement is NOT correct. We would like to confirm that:
Our Sifu never formally learnt any Kung Fu from the Grandmaster in question;
Hang Che Pang (行者棒) is a traditional Kung Fu set of our Hung Kuen lineage and the set and its stances were never adapted from any Monkey Style Kung Fu (猴拳) sets or stances as alleged by Mr Mak.
After discussion with Grandmaster Lam Chun Fai (林鎮輝) , Grandmaster Lam Fung Chu (林鳳珠), Grandmaster Lam Chun Chung (林鎮忠) ( Sifu’s eldest son , daughter and sixth eldest son respectively) and some other senior disciples in our Hung Kuen lineage, we decided to make this statement to clarify the situation.
Our Sifu, Great Grandmaster Lam Cho was the nephew of Great Grandmaster Lam Sai Wing (林世榮) (a very famous and important grandmaster in the history of Hung Kuen). Sifu inherited his martial arts from Great Grandmaster Lam Sai Wing and he never had any other Kung Fu teachers in his lifetime.
Mr. Mak repeatedly in the video referred to our Sifu by his name “Lam Cho” without according him the proper respect by referring to him as Great Grandmaster which we consider to be discourteous behaviour in Chinese culture. This is especially the case where Mr Mak is a more junior member of the Hung Kuen family when compared to our Sifu.
Mr. Mak’s Sifu is a grand grandstudent of our Sifu. He may have met our Sifu on several rare social occasions. Mr. Mak should refrain from disseminating factually incorrect information about our Sifu and our lineage in the public domain which could affect our Sifu’s reputation and that of our Hung Kuen lineage.
Being disciples of our beloved Sifu, we make this statement to clarify the incorrect and inaccurate information disseminated by Mr. Mak. We reserve all of our rights. We urge Mr. Mak to retract the incorrect and inaccurate information that he disseminated to the public immediately. We also clarify that Mr. Mak does not have the authority to represent or make use of Great Grandmaster Lam Cho’s name for promotion and/or publicity purposes. As a more junior member in our Hung Kuen lineage who did not have close contact with our Sifu, Mr. Mak not only disseminated incorrect information about our Sifu, but also commented on his martial arts skills in the video. This kind of behaviour is very disrespectful and offensive. We wish Mr. Mak can desist from such behaviour in future. Let’s disseminate the art of Hung Kuen in a manner which respects our elders and which promote the good reputation of the school rather than damaging it.
