c Sport. It was introduced here in the Philippines in the mid 70's. Madrig Taekwondo Gym is owned and headed by Madonna Boholano-Avenido and Rigor V. Both of them are enthusiast of Taekwondo martial art. Rigor V. Avenido is the Head Instructor of the Madrig Taekwondo Gym and currently the Chairman of the Regional Management Committee (RMC)- CARAGA. He's been teaching and building champions for already a decade thus his expertise and experience make Madrig Taekwondo Gym ideal for Great Learning experience which emphasizes in Discipline and Quality teaching. The Sangguniang Panlungsod of Butuan, during its 23rd Regular Session, approved Proposed SP Resolution No. 17-303-2026 commending the Butuanon athletes who represented Caraga Region during the 2026 Palarong Pambansa, dubbed "Palaro Tu AgSur," for bringing honor and pride to the city through their achievements in the national sporting event.

The measure also recognized the valuable contributions of the athletes' coaches for their guidance, dedication, and support in helping the participants excel in their respective events.

In approving the resolution, the city council recognizes the athletes' discipline, perseverance, teamwork, and sportsmanship, noting that their accomplishments have inspired fellow youth and aspiring athletes in the community.
