High above the quiet mountains, there lived a young lawin named Amihan. Unlike the other eagles, Amihan was afraid of long flights. While the others soared confidently across valleys and storms, he stayed close to his nest, watching, wondering, and doubting.
One day, a great challenge was announced among the birds: a race to the farthest peak, where only the strongest and most determined could reach. The prize was not just honor, but the right to lead.
Amihan longed to join, but fear whispered, “You are not ready.” Still, a small voice inside him replied, “You will never be ready if you never try.”
On the day of the race, the sky was unforgiving. Winds roared, clouds clashed, and many birds turned back. Amihan trembled, nearly giving up, but he remembered every small flight he had taken before, every quiet moment he chose courage over comfort.
Instead of racing ahead, Amihan flew steadily. When storms came, he adjusted. When winds pushed him down, he rose again. He did not try to outfly the others, he simply refused to stop.
One by one, the stronger birds fell behind, worn out by pride or haste. And at last, with tired wings but an unbroken spirit, Amihan reached the peak.
The other birds were astonished. “How did you do it?” they asked.
Amihan simply said, “I did not win because I was the strongest. I won because I kept flying.”
Moral: Championships are not claimed by strength alone, but by perseverance, courage, and the will to continue when others stop.
To all BCC Red Lawin Athletes, never get tired of your flight, keep your wings flapping, and soar higher than where you are now.
Congratulations best and brave BCCians
