Let's give our children, people and country a chance!
A chance to be good people and citizens - let's give our children a sporting chance.
The chance to learn good manners and right conduct.
Adults/parents who do not know how to follow simple rules are bad examples to especially their own children.
Children learn a lot from their parents/elders - give them a chance; give our country the chance to excel in the world!

Who among us Boie'nen of the late 60's and the 70's have not heard about Mr. Gratz? - the U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer (USPCV) who lived in Tambo and taught in both the Tambo Barrio High School and at St. Bridget's!

After his Peace Corps stint in the Philippines he worked on his PhD dissertation on snake physiology at the University of Oklahoma where he met Cody Best who was also later assigned to Boie' as another USPCV in the mid-70's.

Mr. GRATZ took this very first year class of the Tambo Barrio High School during the last quarter of1968. He still clearly remembers the teacher Mrs. Carmen Iturrios who is the woman standing in the front row center as well as the names of many of the students in this picture.

This is the first of the many pictures Mr. Gratz wish so graciously to share with us for posterity - thank you Mr. Gratz!

Now we can all see how Mr. Gratz saw our town in the late 60's. Talking about 'seeing' his picture, might make us remember the story "Mr. Gratz, YO KINSE?"
