Leaps of Glory in the Jumping Competitions
The jumping events brought so much excitement as athletes showed their strength, focus, and determination in both the long jump, high jump, and triple jump competitions.
In the Girls’ Long Jump, Yuki Salcha of Binnadang landed the gold with a leap of 3.05 meters, just slightly ahead of Timpuyog’s Revelyn Pacliwan, who got silver with 3.03 meters. Kiexharain Ludaes, also from Timpuyog, placed third.
The Boys’ Long Jump was just as thrilling. Jesser Lapas of Mankinang flew to first place with 4.16 meters, followed closely by Shandrij Langpa of Timpuyog with 4.14 meters. Jover Caiso of Binnadang finished third at 4.0 meters.
In the Girls’ High Jump, Binnadang’s Khezie Dayaoen cleared 1.10 meters to win gold. Mary Ann Perez of Makelsi earned silver with 1.05 meters, while Khiexharain Ludaes (Timpuyog) and Chrixia Khaye Pucay (Makelsi) tied for bronze with 1.04 meters.
For the Boys’ High Jump, Binnadang dominated as Rainier Shawn Palongyas took first place with a leap of 1.45 meters. His teammates Jover Caiso and Jovinson Madiano shared silver with 1.40 meters, while the bronze went to Joerhyl Valdez (Timpuyog) and Jesser Lapas (Makinang), both clearing 1.35 meters.
The Triple Jump was another highlight. In the boys’ category, Shandrij Langpa of Timpuyog won with 9.63 meters, followed by John Kyro Madiano of Natbeb at 8.69 meters, and Jover Caiso of Binnadang at 8.45 meters. For the girls, Khezie Dayaoen of Binnadang claimed another gold with 6.82 meters, while Timpuyog’s Khiexharain Ludaes got silver at 6.56 meters and Roxanne Empizo secured bronze at 6.49 meters.
Overall, Binnadang athletes stood out by winning most of the events, but Timpuyog and Makelsi also showed strong performances with several podium finishes. The winners from these games will represent the school in the upcoming District Meet.
