Announcing the Launch of FREEDIVE PRO and Our Community Give-Back Initiative.

To celebrate the launch of FREEDIVE PRO, we want to give back to our community in a meaningful way. Many people may not know this, but our Instructor Trainer was generously sponsored by individuals who believed in him when he was taking his Instructor Course. As a gesture of gratitude, we will be sponsoring two people to train and become certified as PADI Freediver Instructors, allowing them to earn the prestigious badge of becoming a PADI Pro.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Prior experience in freediving is a plus
- Must be available on most weekends
- Passion for freediving and willingness to undergo training
- No prior freediving certification is required
- Must not be actively affiliated with or teaching/coaching in another freediving group or organization.

Understanding Freediving Certification: Time-Based vs. Performance-Based

Are you eager to start your freediving certification course? Before you dive in, it's essential to understand whether your course is time-based or performance-based. This distinction can greatly impact your experience and success as a freediver.

Freediving is fundamentally about relaxation. Setting goals is important in any sport, but what if those goals prevent you from relaxing? Often, freedivers become so focused on achieving specific targets that they forget to enjoy the dive itself. The pressure to meet course requirements can lead to stress, as divers push themselves to reach a certain depth or hold their breath for a specific duration, all in an effort to pass their course.

In freediving, there's a big difference between diving with relaxation and enjoyment compared to diving with eagerness and a focus on time or depth.

When you dive with relaxation and enjoyment, you take your time to explore the underwater world. You focus on your breath, move gracefully, and appreciate the beauty around you. It's about feeling at peace and being in tune with the water.

On the other hand, being eager and driven by time or depth can change the experience. You might rush your dives, trying to reach a certain depth or stay underwater for a specific time. This approach can sometimes lead to feeling stressed or anxious underwater, rather than enjoying the moment.

In freediving, finding a balance between these two approaches is important. It's about enjoying the dive while also setting goals and challenges for yourself. Whether you prefer a relaxed exploration or a focused goal-oriented dive, both ways can be rewarding in their own right.
