Some journeys aren't defined by how they begin, but by the courage to keep going.

For Jane Beatriz Subida, Kyokushin became more than just a sport—it became a foundation for the person she is today.

From balancing life as a nursing student, working student, and athlete to stepping into her first national tournament just weeks after discovering Kyokushin, every challenge taught her something greater than winning. It taught her discipline, resilience, and the value of never giving up.

Today, Jane is the Women's 60 kg Below Champion of the 20th National KyokushinRyu Full-Contact Karate Tournament, a Philippine representative at the 29th Dragon Cup International Friendship Karate Championships in Japan, and a proud member of IKAK Binangonan Dojo. Beyond her achievements in competition, she also serves others as a registered nurse, carrying the same values she learned inside the dojo into her profession every day.

Her story is a reminder that Kyokushin doesn't just build strong fighters—it builds strong people.
