Before last Saturday's championship game, 2DJAAM first had to overcome a tough semifinal battle.
With several key players unavailable, many questioned whether 2DJAAM had enough depth to get past a talented Beyond Limits squad.
Under the guidance of Head Coach Lucky Rodrigo, 2DJAAM was forced to make key adjustments due to their limited roster.
Unable to deploy their signature 2-2-1 full-court press or aggressive Diamond Pressure Defense because of a shortage of available players, the team relied on Coach Lucky's tactical adjustments and put their trust in a disciplined 1-3-1 zone defense.
The defensive scheme proved effective, taking away Beyond Limits' outside shooting opportunities while applying constant pressure on baseline drives.
The adjustment disrupted the opponent's offensive rhythm and allowed 2DJAAM to control the game despite being short-handed.
When circumstances forced a change in strategy, 2DJAAM adapted, executed, and found a way to win—showcasing the true mark of a championship-caliber team.
And behind the explosive scoring of Justin Karamihan, Ridge Aguirre, and James Lumague, 2DJAAM controlled the offensive end and dictated the tempo throughout the game.
On the defensive side, Dryst Sanchez, Deniel Monton, and Ezekiel Valdecantos anchored a relentless defensive effort that helped preserve and extend the team's advantage.
Every mistake committed by Beyond Limits was immediately converted into points as 2DJAAM's fast-paced run-and-gun offense kept the pressure on.
By the third quarter, they had created significant separation, and in the fourth quarter, Rylee Villamayor delivered the dagger, knocking down three consecutive three-pointers to blow the game wide open and stretch the lead to 79-55.
🏀 Facing adversity, this seven-man squad refused to back down.
They played with heart, grit, and determination, proving that teamwork and effort can overcome any obstacle.
Kudos to these seven warriors for giving it their all and punching 2DJAAM's ticket to the championship game.
