FGEN Viejo Finishes 3rd Runner-Up in Machado’s Cup Season 2

FGEN Viejo proudly finished as the 3rd Runner-Up in Machado’s Cup Season 2, closing another meaningful chapter in the team’s journey with valuable lessons, experiences, and memories that every player can carry into their upcoming sporting events.

The competition was more than just about winning. Every game challenged our players to improve their teamwork, discipline, communication, mental toughness, and determination. The experience allowed the team to identify areas that need improvement and reminded every player that success is built through hard work, commitment, and continuous learning.

FGEN Viejo extends its heartfelt gratitude to Congressman Binky Tupas, Captain Aurelio Medez Jr., Cap Arnold Palec, James Keth Bearneza, Vice Mayor Vivian Buenavista, Mayor Bongbong Tupas, Mam Luisa L. Asong, and all the school heads for their continued support and encouragement to our athletes.

We also express our sincere appreciation to Dems Selerio for organizing Machado’s Cup Season 2, together with the Mayor of Cabatuan and Grace Cordova, for giving our players an opportunity to compete, learn, and grow.

A special thank you goes to our supportive parents, families, and friends who continuously stood behind our players throughout the competition. Your presence, encouragement, prayers, and sacrifices mean so much to the team.

FGEN Viejo Remains Unbeaten at 5-0 After Thrilling Victory Over Bloomers

FGEN Viejo continued its impressive campaign in the interschool volleyball tournament, improving its record to a perfect 5-0 after a thrilling victory over Bloomers and a win by default against San Rafael.

The match against Bloomers proved to be a challenging three-set battle. Bloomers took the first set after displaying strong defensive coverage and executing witty, well-placed attacks that consistently landed in areas where FGEN Viejo had no defender. Their strong defense and smart offensive plays gave Bloomers the advantage and allowed them to secure the opening set.

FGEN Viejo, however, quickly adapted to Bloomers’ style of play in the second set. The team adjusted its defensive positioning, improved court coverage, and responded with more effective attacks. These adjustments helped FGEN Viejo regain momentum and secure the second set.

The third set became a thrilling battle between the two teams. FGEN Viejo maintained its adjustments, worked together as a team, and showed composure during crucial moments. Their determination, teamwork, and improved ex*****on allowed them to take the third set and secure the hard-fought victory.

FGEN Viejo also earned a victory against San Rafael by default, contributing to the team’s undefeated 5-0 record.

Beyond the victories on the court, the FGEN Viejo girls would also like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the people who continue to support the team. Special thanks go to Ma’am Love Marquez and Janice Berdan for sponsoring lunch for the girls. The team also extends its appreciation to Vice Mayor Vivian Buenavista for sponsoring their transportation and travel needs.

A sincere thank-you is also given to Nung Tata Suating for providing safe driving and ensuring that the girls traveled safely throughout the trip.

FGEN Interschool Volleyball Tournament: Strong Start, Big Games Ahead

FGEN Volleyball Team Battles Through the Tournament

The FGEN Interschool Volleyball Team is making its presence felt in the ongoing interschool volleyball tournament, delivering strong performances in the opening games.

In the first game, FGEN secured a victory against Dumangas, setting the tone for a competitive tournament campaign. The team continued its fight in the second game against Madison B, followed by the third game against the Montisorri Warhawks.

With every match, the players continue to showcase teamwork, determination, discipline, and competitive spirit as they represent their school and community.

The action continues on August 15, 2026, as FGEN faces Bloomers and San Rafael in another exciting day of competition.
