Nagkaroon ng meniscus tear o punit sa kaliwang tuhod si Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, ayon sa orthopedic surgeon na si Dr. Fernando Syquia.

Dinala sa ospital ang senador matapos lumagutok ang tuhod habang naka-detain sa New Quezon City Jail.

Bukod pa ito sa iniindang osteoarthritis sa kanang tuhod ni Estrada.

Paliwanag ng doktor, karaniwang isinasailalim sa surgery ang ganitong punit sa tuhod.

Sa ngayon, binigyan na ng gamot ang senador.
