👉To all participants of LG Bais MTB XC Race this coming November 21, 2021, please take time to read and follow our race rules and guidelines:
1. Riders must be in good health and well trained.
2. Riders will start in different starting categories to ensure a safe, smooth and enjoyable ride for everyone.
3. During the Race, the Medical Officer reserves the right to withdraw a rider who is not deemed physically capable of continuing.
4. Any medical expenses incurred will be for the competitor’s account.
5. Bikes must be marked with an official number board securely fitted and visible from the front. Numbers must not be modified or mutilated in any way, including cutting, adding stickers, removing existing stickers or trimming.
6. Maintenance of bicycles during the race is the responsibility of each rider.
7. A rider not wearing a helmet will be removed from the course immediately.
8. Any riders on specific personal medications are responsible for supplying and carrying such medication.
9. Riders who are deemed by the Race Organizers to arrive at the finish line after the cut-off time will be swept off the route by the sweep vehicle.
10. The Race will not have exclusive use of any public roads during the race.
11. All regular traffic regulations must be observed at all times during the race.
12. Riders retain the ultimate responsibility to carry enough water and nutrition with them.
13. Any person who cannot continue for whatever reason must immediately inform any race marshal. This can be done at the Race Start, the Finish or at Water points.
14. In the event of a search and rescue operation being initiated for a rider who has withdrawn, but has not informed the Race Office, the cost of the search and rescue operation will be transferred to the rider.
15. No littering or unnecessary damage to the environment will be tolerated.
16. Litter, relating to sports nutrition and feeding stations, will be tolerated within the direct area of the feed stations.
17. A Rider may be disqualified at the discretion of the Race Office for any one or more of the following reasons including, but not limited to:
a. Riding at any point on any stage without a helmet.
b. Excessive littering.
c. Disrespect or damage to the environment.
d. Bad sportsmanship.
e. Abuse of Race Officials.
18. Riders must complete the entire distance of the race, and the responsibility for following the official route lies with the rider.
a. Riders must act in a polite manner at all times, and permit any faster rider to overtake without obstructing.
b. Riders must respect the countryside and ride only on the official route. Riders must avoid polluting the area, and not leave any waste or litter.
c. Riders must not use offensive or abusive language during the race, act in an unsporting manner, be disrespectful to the officials, or ignore the race regulations.
19. No on-site registration at the venue and at the time and place.
20. All riders must have registered by the cut-off time indicated on the race announcements.
21. A rider must inform the race officer if he is substituting another rider. The Race organizer will not be responsible if wrong information is supplied in the event of a medical or other emergency situation when a rider has not informed the race officers.
22. Riders must arrive at the venue on time. Riders not present during each category call will be automatically disqualified.
23. A “running-start” will be conducted. A participant that will overtake the convoy leader will be automatically disqualified.
24. A pre-race briefing will take place at the time and place indicated on the race announcement.
