Prepare for an unforgettable adventure as The Last Stand of Yamash*ta Trail Run returns on September 6, 2026, in the majestic mountains of Hungduan, Ifugao.

More than a trail race, this is a journey through history, culture, endurance, and the breathtaking landscapes of the Cordilleras. Follow the legendary routes associated with General Tomoyuki Yamash*ta’s final stand before his surrender in Kiangan in 1945, and experience one of the most iconic mountain-running events in the Philippines.

Challenge yourself on rugged ridges, pine forests, mossy trails, river crossings, ancient rice terraces, and steep mountain ascents leading to the summit of Mt. Napulawan (2,642 MASL), the highest peak of Hungduan. From the top, witness spectacular views of Mt. Pulag, Mt. Amuyao, and Mt. Polis.

Rain or shine, the grind never stops. The UP Run 2026 Tryouts have officially concluded, and every runner showed up ready to give their all despite the challenging weather. No excuses, no backing down—just heart, determination, and the courage to push through the rain.
