TRAINING THROUGH THE RAIN ๐ง๏ธ๐ฅ
Itโs been raining for days, and honestly, it can be tempting to stay in bed, rest, and skip the sweat. But we are athletes and with that comes responsibility, discipline, and commitment.
Training isnโt always about building our bodies. Sometimes, itโs about building our character, mindset, and purpose. Todayโs training reminded us to reflect: Why do we train? What is our purpose as athletes and as student-athletes?
Our purpose goes beyond winning medals. We train to inspire others, help those in need, protect ourselves and others from harm, and lift one another up. We want to see each other graduate even those who have been part of the team who transfered different universities we want also to see them graduate, find meaningful careers, and reach our dreams whether that means becoming a professional engineers, police, medtech, teachers, and etc. or even a World Champion someday. But whatever path we take, we hope to carry with us the values we learned along the way: kindness, humility, discipline, perseverance, and the ability to balance academics and sports.
This training was led by our Team Captain, Lee Aputher Sta. Ana, whose leadership continues to remind us that being an athlete is not only about physical strength, but also about having the right mindset, supporting your teammates, and becoming a better person.
To Goals Gym Baguio, thank you so much for welcoming our team, giving us discounts, and making adjustments to our training schedule despite the weather. Your support means a lot to us.
So, Rain or shine, we show up.
Not only to become stronger athletes, but to become better students, better teammates, and better people.
One team. One purpose. One another.
We rise together until we all make it. ๐ฏ
