Eating out with your family shouldn’t mean giving up on your health goals. I made this video to show that you can still enjoy Filipino favorites while making smarter choices.

Watch the full battle, then come back and tell me if your prediction survived.

Please give it a like and send it to that one person who treats unlimited rice like an Olympic event. 🍚🏆

Then Comment which three restaurants I should put to the test next.

Let’s send this video to the moon and make the Philippines healthy again. 🚀🇵🇭

Here are 9 things worth knowing 👇

1. YOUR COFFEE MIGHT BE DESSERT.

Syrup, sugar and condensed milk can turn a regular coffee into a big calorie addition.

→ Choose unsweetened coffee or reduce the sweetener. Don’t ignore calories just because you drink them.

2. “NATURAL” DOESN’T MEAN UNLIMITED.

Honey and brown sugar still count as sugar.

→ Use less. Swapping the sweetener doesn’t erase it.

3. EAT YOUR FRUIT. DON’T ALWAYS DRINK IT.

Whole fruit has fiber. Juice makes it easier to consume a lot of sugar quickly.

→ Choose the orange more often than the orange juice. Don’t put fruit in the same category as soft drinks.

4. RICE DOESN’T HAVE TO TASTE SWEET TO RAISE BLOOD SUGAR.

Your body breaks down its starch into glucose.

→ Start with a measured portion. Don’t let automatic refills decide how much you eat.

5. WHAT YOU EAT WITH YOUR CARBS MATTERS.

Protein and fiber can slow the rise in blood sugar.

→ Pair rice with fish, chicken, eggs or tofu, plus vegetables. That doesn’t cancel the rice… it makes a more balanced meal.

6. FIBER IS A CARB THAT WORKS FOR YOU.

Cutting every carb can mean cutting useful foods too.

→ Keep foods like monggo, vegetables, oats and whole fruit. Don’t throw out nutrition just to chase “zero carbs.”

7. YOUR MUSCLES CAN HELP MANAGE BLOOD SUGAR.

Movement helps your body use glucose.

→ Start with a comfortable 10-minute walk after dinner. Don’t treat exercise as permission to eat without limits.

8. THE DAMAGE CAN START BEFORE YOU FEEL IT.

Persistently high blood sugar can damage blood vessels, kidneys, eyes and nerves.

→ Ask about blood sugar testing if you have risk factors, including family history. Don’t wait until you feel sick.

9. YOU DON’T NEED TO BAN RICE. YOU NEED A PLAN.

Try half a plate of nonstarchy vegetables, a quarter lean protein, and a quarter rice or another starch.

→ Start there and adjust to your needs. Don’t replace carbs with unlimited butter, bacon or “keto” snacks.

Less liquid sugar. Sensible portions. More fiber. Regular movement.

If you take insulin or medicines that can cause low blood sugar, speak with your clinician before making major carb cuts.

Save this for your next meal.

Send it to someone who always orders unlimited rice. 😂
