Stranded but Still Standing β Unit IV, Alcantara Delegation
Due to Typhoon Basyang, our journey was unexpectedly paused. What was supposed to be a smooth schedule turned into hours of waiting, adjusting, and accepting that some things are simply beyond our control.
But instead of complaining, Unit IV of the Alcantara Delegation chose a different mindset.
We chose gratitude over frustration.
We chose teamwork over worry.
We chose laughter over stress.
Yes, we were stranded β but we were safe.
Yes, plans were delayed β but our spirits were not.
We shared food, stories, and jokes. We checked on each other. We made sure everyone was comfortable and okay. In the middle of the storm outside, we created warmth inside. Being βbusogβ was not just about the food we had β it was about being filled with care, unity, and positivity.
Untoward circumstances may slow us down, but they do not define us. What defines us is how we respond. And Unit IV responded with resilience, patience, and joy.
Because sometimes, the real victory is not arriving on time β itβs staying strong together while waiting. π
