Congratulations Stacia Cambra from Team Vaihi for, as far as we know, please correct us if were wrong, but she was the first ever female Coconut Tree Climber to compete in the Heiva i Tahiti Tūʻaro Māʻohi event. am.legend.01 had consistently requested the option for vahine to climb at which was implemented for the first time ever in 2024 and we weren’t sure if Tahiti would introduce it this year. At the last minute, it was confirmed as a category with 3 vahine participating and Stacia was the first of the vahine to jump and ended up taking 1st place.
Not only did Team Vaihi get 1st for the podium, but of Team Vaihi took 2nd! It was a historic moment for the team, and the women who participated. Even the third woman Imelda representing Huahine shared much pride and camaraderie in this experience. It was truly a moment to remember! More videos and photos to come!
