🌊 MÉMORIAL TAINUIATEA RACE 2026 — LE RÉSUMÉ OFFICIEL 🌊
🔥 Un parcours mythique et une arrivée complètement f***e !
Revivez en 10 minutes le résumé officiel du Mémorial Tainuiatea Race 2026, une magnifique course de V1 organisée en hommage au champion Tainuiatea Vairaaroa. 🌺
Dans des conditions idéales, les 59 participants se sont élancés depuis la plage du Taaone, direction la passe de Muriavai à Mahina, avec un passage par la mythique Pointe Vénus.
Une partie de l’élite tahitienne, restée au fenua et n’ayant pas fait le déplacement à Singapour pour les Championnats du monde de va’a, a profité de ce rendez-vous pour continuer à s’affûter et préparer la suite de la saison. 🇵🇫💪
💨 UNE COURSE QUI S’EST JOUÉE JUSQU’AUX DERNIERS 200 MÈTRES !
Sur la remontée au vent, Taputuura Delpuech réalise une superbe performance en remontant par le bas et domine cette partie exigeante du parcours.
À l’entame de la descente, Keoni Sulpice accélère et prend la tête, suivi de près par Narai Atger.
Mais derrière, Hitiroa Masingue, le « Peperu » du Team OPT, ne lâche rien. Il revient progressivement sur le duo de tête et va placer son accélération au meilleur moment.
🔥 Dans les 200 derniers mètres, Hitiroa dépasse ses deux adversaires et s’envole vers la victoire !
🏆 Hitiroa Masingue remporte le Mémorial Tainuiatea Race 2026 au terme d’une magnifique bataille.
Une course spectaculaire, un bel hommage à Tainuiatea Vairaaroa et une nouvelle démonstration du niveau exceptionnel du va’a V1 tahitien. 🌊🇵🇫

🔥 59 paddlers, a legendary course, and an absolutely incredible finish!
Relive the official recap of the Tainuiatea Memorial Race 2026 in 10 minutes, a magnificent V1 race organized in tribute to the Tainuiatea champion Vairaaroa. 🌺
In ideal conditions, the 59 participants set off from Taaone Beach, heading towards the Muriavai Pass in Mahina, passing by the legendary Pointe Vénus.
Some of Tahit's elite paddlers, who remained in Tahiti and did not travel to Singapore for the Va'a World Championships, took advantage of this event to continue honing their skills and preparing for the rest of the season. 🇵🇫💪
💨 A RACE THAT CAME DOWN TO THE LAST 200 METERS!
Upwind, Tehuru Delpuech put in a superb performance, making his way up the coast and dominating this demanding section of the course.
At the start of the downwind leg, Keoni Sulpice accelerated and took the lead, closely followed by Narai Atger.
But behind them, Hitiroa Masingue, the "Peperu" of Team OPT, refused to give up. He gradually closed the gap on the leading duo and timed his acceleration perfectly.
🔥 In the final 200 meters, Hitiroa overtook his two rivals and surged to victory!
🏆 Hitiroa Masingue wins the 2026 Tainuiatea Memorial Race after a magnificent battle.
A spectacular race, a beautiful tribute to Tainuiatea Vairaaroa, and another demonstration of the exceptional level of Tahitian outrigger canoeing (va’a V1). 🌊🇵🇫
