Brigitte Bardot, aka BB, left the world yesterday. An iconic actress of the sixties, she was a pioneer of freedom of speech and provocative life choices. She also dedicated much of her life to protecting animals.

Seen here paddling what could be considered an early ancestor of stand-up paddleboarding.

The first day of technical racing just wrapped up in Abu Dhabi, and semifinal places are set. Who are the top contenders to win this year's world championship titles in tech racing?
In the women's race, Duna Gordillo of Spain is defending her world title, but it won't be easy. Mariecarmen Rivera (Puerto Rico) has had a phenomenally good season, and she'll be gunning for the win. But the fastest time in the heats today went to Spaniard Alba Frey. Alba has finished 5th the last two years, is it finally her time to get on the podium? Or even win?
And in the men's event, last year's champion Noic Garioud has opted not to race at all in Abu Dhabi. So there's a 100% chance we'll have a brand new World Champion in the men's tech race. But who will it be? Is it Shrimpy's time for a tech win? Shuri "Shrimpy" Araki took silver in the tech race last year and gold in long distance, and lately he's been unbeaten in both distance and tech. Is the win locked up for him? Or will be challenged by his teammate Rai Taguchi, or one of the 8 super speedy Spaniards who qualified for the semifinals?

I keep getting this warnings of my stand up paddle company I have
With this logo of me paddling
Did it when stand up paddle in peru was not known except for by a handful of people
Me being one of them and the only female at that time
In a macho country that I love
But it also hurts to come from
Specially
When s**t like starting what in fact and reality was the first sup school in peru
Doing it with even sunat ( Peruvian irs)
Registering t a name on the institution ( indecopi)
Thats suppose to protect you of fraud and othered coping you
Even taking your name and therefore stilling
( by taking clients )

I am not the type to give up
But what do u do in a country where justice do t exist
Where all this
Do it logit BS… is good for nothing

We’re if a woman hits the nail on a business that will make her shine
The country mentally itself
Is to do what’s necessary to put her down
Even if it’s 3 days to a competition
That you train for
That was even going to make you shine more bettah

Or even some champions with no skills or atlethic background be on podiums
