Alma in Spanish means soul or spirit. Our ‘Souls’ or ‘Spirits’ are here on earth to experience the journey of life through the physical body, the emotional body and the mind body. The true essence of our soul was born from a place of unconditional love, joy and happiness however through our conditioned minds and ridged belief systems we have become disconnected and disassociated from our true nature. Yoga Alma’s intention is to make a positive impact in the community through offering heart centred Yoga classes, meditation, sound healing, bodywork, and therapies that return us back home to nurture our beautiful bodies (the only place we have to live) and live life to our highest potential.

Taoism is the philosophy of flow.

Instead of fighting the current, Taoists strive to go with the flow and accept things as they unfold. They also refuse to pursue wealth and power.
Taoism can best be described as to be like hollow bamboo. Rather that standing erect and resolute against the winds like an old oak tree, the bamboo bends and goes with the flow, just as Taoists go with the gentle flow of the universe. Adaptability is where we find strength in the every changing nature of life.

The heart of Taoism is to reject hatred and intolerance of human differences and live with balance, harmony, perspective, and compassion. As we increase self-awareness and the ego diminishes, which is often at the core of conflict, Taoism promotes peace within and without.

Taoists communicate the importance of harmonising with nature by balancing yin and yang qualities, and developing chi through meditation and the art of non-doing. The human body is regarded as a source of chi-derived energy. Chi is variously known as the "breath of heaven," “mystical breath," the "breath of nature" and the "quality of spirit”

How well do you know yourself? What a strange question! Of course I know myself!!! Well, the fact of the matter is most of us walk around unconsciously re-acting to life based on limiting belief systems, past events & hurts, unhealthy habits and e-motional disconnection which has moved us far away from knowing our true essence. Who we really are underneath all that unconscious behaviour. A pure light being filled with unconditional love! ​​​​​​​​

Self-awareness is the biggest, best and most illuminating quality of fire. You have this in you. You have the ability to become so self-aware that you catch yourself before making those limiting choices in life and instead make choices that only lift your spirit, bring you happiness, optimise your body and energy and enable you to feel and experience the unconditional love that you were born from. ​​​​​​​​
