The inaugural Oman Open was played in 2018 at Al Mouj Golf, forming part of the European Tour schedule which consists of 48 tournaments across 31 different countries. Although this was the first visit for the European Tour to the Sultanate of Oman, the journey began in 2013 with the Challenge Tour. The growth from a Challenge Tour event with a prize fund of $300,000 to a full European Tour event w

ith a prize fund of $1,750,000 in less than 6 years, has been astounding. The 2020 Oman Open is set to be played again at Al Mouj Golf from the 27th February to the 1st March where Kurt Kitayama from the USA will defend his title.

We are pleased to extend our congratulations to Raoul Restucci, Managing Director of one of our sponsors PDO, for receiving the Order of Merit from His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.

The medal was presented today (29 March) by His Highness Sayyid As’ad bin Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Relations and International Co-operation Affairs.
