Extra Divers Qantab Extra Divers Qantab is located in Barr Al Jissah Marina. Along the long coast of Oman, there are lots of spectacular and unspoiled dive spots.

The close island Fahal provides about 10 sensational spots. One of the main attractions is a channel, connecting two bays, home of a large variety of reef fishes, beautiful coral garden, several kinds of rays, turtles and with a little luck sharks. Also the 84 metre long wreck of Munassir is close to the dive center, offering a spectacular diving.

Red coris wrasse. Seen this juvenile a few times and finally got the shot, they so shy and so rare 🤩 Have you heard of the clown wrasse theory 🤷‍♀️ They plunge headfirst into soft sand at night or when scared, making them vanish completely until morning 😴 🤭

Razor fish! These upside down swimmers move in synchronised groups, a school of razorfish will tilt and turn together in perfect synchronization. If they are not swimming you will find them hiding in sea urchins. There is only 1 place we have found them in Oman!

Not many fish could boast of a head that doubles as a suction cup. The common remora is a pelagic marine fish belonging to the family Echeneidae. The dorsal fin, which has 22 to 26 soft rays, acts as a suction cup, creating a vacuum to allow the fish to attach to larger marine animals, such as whales, dolphins, sharks, and sea turtles. I’m not sure how to take this…😆 am I classed as a larger fish in the underwater kingdom 😳
