What a way to wrap up the 2026 season — roll-ups, awards, great food, a few drinks, and plenty of top-tier banter to match the bowling.
This season wasn’t just good… it was record-breaking. We saw our biggest-ever group of active and competitive juniors take to the green — and they didn’t come to make up the numbers. Our first-year juniors came out firing, setting the bar high and giving the rest something to chase all season long.
Our juniors didn’t just participate — they showed up where it counts. A record number stepped into Club Championship games, with several earning their place on the honours board (not bad for the “young guns” 👏). They also gave the interclub games a good nudge, took part in outside tournaments, and made it to the podium.
A big shoutout to our executive committee and senior members for building a club where players of all levels can thrive — on the green and off it. That’s what makes Woodend Bowling Club a special place.
To our head greenkeeper, Stu Jenkins and his team — a special thank you from all the juniors for your patience and for keeping the green in top shape despite the countless practice hours!
