Come support some of the Woodend Wāhine!

Evening Whānau, if you’re looking for some footy to watch tomorrow we have 2 great suggestions. The NC women’s team are playing at the Rangiora Showgrounds. They are versing Ellesmere at 1pm. And then the Waitaha Wāhinetoa are playing at Sheldon Park vs South Canterbury at 1pm.

Both teams would love your support!

Evening Whānau, there’s a busy day of footy happening tomorrow. At 2:45pm out in Oxford the NC women’s team take on Waitaha. There are women from the Woodend Wāhine represented in both of these teams. As a club we are super proud of all of them. Here’s their team lists below.

Afternoon Whānau, tomorrow Woodend Rugby Club is hosting the famous Battlers Test. Kicking off at 1:30pm this is a game you won’t wanna miss.

It’ll be heaps of fun and there’s going to be Kai to purchase on the day.

Something pretty special is coming to Gladstone Park on Sunday 13 September…

We’re inviting girls in Years 2–8 to come along for a fun-filled day of girls-only rugby! 🌸🏉

Whether she already loves rugby, has never picked up a rugby ball before, or is simply curious about giving it a go — this day is for her.

The day will include:
✨ Fun rugby skills and activities
🏉 Age-appropriate contact & tackle skills
🗣️ Guest Speakers
🏃‍♀️ Games of rugby
💗 Plenty of fun, encouragement and new friendships!

Our goal is simple: get more girls playing rugby, build their confidence and show them just how awesome our game can be.
