And that's a wrap! Thanks to all the kids, parents, coaches and wonderful volunteers for making this season so great!! Prize giving is on Tues the 31st at the sports park. Please return your singlets then or to the school office attention Freya Marra.

Wow what an amazing effort...
A great two days in Hamilton for the hotly contested WBOP club champs.
We certainly had a great time and represented MercuryBay Athletics with great pride with our small team of four, bringing home a feast of Medals.
Results were.
Neela sacault, 2 golds, 100mtr and 200mtr.
Louie Jenson, 1 gold, 400mtr, 1 bronze, 200mtr, 6th 100mtr final
Reef Harvard, 1 silver, 1500mtr, 4th 800mtr.
Noa Jenson, 5th 1500mtr, 7th 800mtr, 10th long jump,
Then to top if off we combined our four athletes and entered the Relay. Because of the mixed ages and gender we had to enter in the Boys 14yrs grade. To their credit they ended up in 3rd place for bronze.
Over the season these young athletes have had alot of fun, formed frends with other club athletes, and have the bonus of gaining top honors for their hard and sometimes long trainings. This is the end for club Athletics.
So proud to be part of these young Athletes. Special thanks to their amazing coach Lindsay Ash!

Our amazing throwing coach Christine had huge success this weekend at the NZ Masters Championships. She won the Hammer shot, Discus, Javelin and wt throw along with the throws pentathlon.
2 championship records and athlete of the year for combined events.
She is looking forward to World Champs later in the year.

Massive day for our team at the WBOP club champs. Louie claimed gold in the 400mtrs final. Reef 4th 800 meters, Noa 6th 800 meters and 12th 100 meters, Neela also claimed gold in 100 meters. Then relay team, with all four of them, claimed bronze yesterday. There are a few more events today. Good luck to them! Thank you Lindsay for your dedication to their success!

It's getting closer, the end of the season. If you have trophies from last season, can you please return them to the club next Tuesday night, or alternatively drop them into the MBAS school office, labeled with Miss Mara. Thanks so much!

We have made the call to cancel athletics tonight. The weather is supposed to be fine from here on but ground will be damp for running and jumping on.

Additionally if you have cups from prizegiving last year could they please come to Miss Marra at school or back to athletics please.
