Muscle can really save your life!
* Muscle provides the strength we need to stop a fall, to lift our groceries and remain independent.
* Muscle also helps shield your brain against alzheimers.
* Muscle reduces your insulin resistance staving off Type 2 diabetes.
* Muscle keeps bones strong.
* Muscle makes you look and feel powerful.

Flexibility and Mobility are not the same.
Flexibility is the ability to stretch into a bigger range, making your soft tissues and joints better. It's how far you can move into the range passively.
Mobility is connecting your brain to the new range. Mobility is how far you can move into the range actively with control.
Can you crouch down easily? That requires flexibility at you ankles, knees, hips and back. It also requires strength at your ankles, knees, hips and back. It also requires your body to feel safe to move in this way.
Do you ever sit on the floor which forces more mobility out of your body? Or do you have your favorite totally comfy arm chair?
The best way to gain flexibility is to work on flexibility and mobility together.
