Whangarei Hash House Harriers Welcome the the Hash House Harriers fan page for the Whangarei chapter. Click here to see more details. We run every Tuesday at approx 6:10pm.

Hash House Harriers (abbreviated to HHH, H3, or referred to simply as hashing) is an international group of non-competitive running, social clubs. An event organized is known as a hash or hash run, with participants calling themselves hashers or hares and hounds. Details of the run will be posted on the page in the days before and also emailed around the members. After each run we have an

'ON ON'. This includes a meal, drinks and a good ole time. We will have the 'ON ON' at a pub, tavern, restaurant etc or alternatively if the run set from the Hares residence or designated location, we may have the ON ON there in the form of a BBQ, pot luck or a HASH MASH etc.. Most summer runs/ON ON's are from great random locations where we can have a BBQ or swim afterwards. See you all there

Thanks to Prick & T***y for hosting the run-walk. 6 runners & 6 walkers enjoyed a fine winter evening around Kamo.

Runners even had a p**s stop, and we followed chalk for a change. Great run rated a solid 1 by all. At the 5km p**s stop Hard Drive & Leg Ova had to help Pricky drive the drinks back to the OnOn. I mean it would have been rude not to. We enjoyed 3 options of soup with buns etc, it was very nice.

Great turnout with 11 runners & 11 walkers including another virgin who joined our ranks. Another beautiful evening for a 7km run (10km for the back runners). Another enjoyable meal at KT for those who stayed. The other 115 on the email list must feel a twinge of guilt as they read about our weekly outings. Come join in and get fit and have few laughs.

Thanks to everyone that took part in my birthday run-walk. 6 runners and 8 walkers strolled around Onerahi and back home to enjoy my favourite yearly meal. We were even able to enjoy seconds and a lovely crumble desert. Some of us over indulged. We formally introduced Kim as a virgin on her second outing with HHH.

Thanks to Fizz & Dutchy for setting the run-walk from KT. More FM were present and interviewed a few hashers to promote clubs in Whangarei. Good insight from Fizz Bitch. The 6 runners and 12 walkers followed clues on a pleasant evening out. We welcomed 2 virgins in the usual manner and rated the run a solid 1 as we had a p**s stop for all to enjoy at the “Big Pen*s” Another great meal at KT.

Thanks to Pricky & T***y for setting the recovery run after Pricky’s 70th year on earth. 8 runners and 6 walkers explored around Kamo and met back for a meal at Turkaz. A mild winter evening with great company. It was a live run-walk so no false trails except the fast runners who headed off in the wrong direction for a few hundred meters.

As expected pre run drinks were served…

Thanks to Leg Spreader for setting the run-walk. We had a big turnout with 21 keen hashers including 2 virgins brought along by Ram Banger. We had 11 walkers and 10 runners that completed a 7km circuit around the loop with a few diversions. Yes ,even the walkers hit 7km. Leg Spreader had spent 2 hrs placing chalk, but the rain removed most of them, but no rain during the run. We headed off to Jovial Judge and enjoyed a great meal. Brought back memories for the older Hasher.

Thanks to Dutch Rudder for setting another great run-walk. 9 runners and 7 walkers enjoyed another evening away from the TV. Runners covered about 6.5km. Religious instructor was fined for ordering some rain part way through. And Pricky was fined for wrestling with a rubbish bin. That will teach him for not looking where he was going. We enjoyed another lovely meal at Turkaz.

Thanks to Easy Rider for setting the run-walk. 3 runners and 3 walkers showed up. Only light drizzle but after yours truly decided to walk due to a cold and Fizz Bitch had back problems, then Easy rider decided to walk too. So the 6 set off for a stroll and stopped at Splitt for a p**s stop on Big Horn. We waited at the back for Big Horn to pay up and after 10 mins Dutch rudder check inside to find No sign of Big horn. He went out the front and straight home.

We enjoyed a great meal at Bunker Bar and was joined by Stretch it. A solid 1 for the free P**s Stop.
