Whangarei Netball Centre Welcome to Whangārei Netball Centre! We’re the home of netball in Whangārei, supporting players, coaches, umpires & fans at all levels.

Follow us for game updates, events & community stories. Tag us in your netball moments! One of seventeen netball centres within the Northern Zone which extends from Waiuku in the South, to Mangonui (Kaitaia) in the North. We provide a netball competition for both junior and senior players with junior, intermediate and seniors playing on a Saturday and the premier competition being played indoors on a Friday night. The netball season runs for 16 weeks from April to the end of August, with breaks during school holidays. We encourage and support players from Year 1 (5 years) onwards, including boys up to and including Intermediate level and senior netball for the social player to the premier player. WNC also offers development for players, umpires, coaches and administrators.

A huge congratulations to all our Whangārei teams who competed at the Upper North Island Secondary Schools Tournament (UNISS).

We are incredibly proud of every player, coach, manager and supporter who represented their schools and our wider netball community throughout the tournament.

A special congratulations to the players who were recognised with tournament selections—an outstanding achievement and a wonderful reflection of your hard work, talent and commitment.

Well done to everyone involved. You have represented Whangārei with pride, and we look forward to following the next steps in your netball journeys!

TWILIGHT NETBALL – REGISTRATIONS ARE OPEN!

A quick reminder that registrations are open for our 2026 Twilight Netball Series!

Whether you’re getting the team back together, keen for some social netball, or just looking for a fun way to finish the year — we’d love to see you on court!

There are plenty of ways to get involved:

Twilight Netball – Get your team together and register for the series.

Walking Netball – Turn Up & Play!
No team needed! Simply turn up and join in. A great way to enjoy netball, keep active and have some fun in a relaxed environment.

Intermediate Twilight – Expressions of Interest
We’re also taking registrations of interest from Intermediate teams keen to play Twilight. If you have a team that would be interested, please email Kelly at [email protected].

There’s something for everyone this Twilight season — grab your teammates, spread the word and come join us!

This amazing team is currently away competing at the Zespri AIMS Games, proudly representing their school and Whangārei Netball Centre.

The Positive Vibes Only Award recognises teams who demonstrate outstanding sportsmanship, respect, encouragement and positivity, both on and off the court.
