We're back!
Summer is on its way and we are continuing our hard work to get our course into great shape. We really hope to see you out there on the fairways and greens in great numbers as the weather heats up! In the meantime, here is an update on all things Whangarei Golf Club, what’s new and what’s been keeping us busy with our current maintenance projects.

Customer Service Representative

We are in need of a part time employee (20+ hours per week) to assist with the day to day running's of the golf shop / Sprigs bar. The successful applicant must 18 years and older and have an understanding of golf protocol. It is desirable that the applicant will enjoy working in a small team and will have a good working knowledge of computer administration including word, excel and Point Of Sale systems etc.

Full training will be given to the successful applicant.

Facility Cleaner

We are in need of a part time cleaner (5-10 hours per week) to assist with facility presentation including cleaning the bathrooms, kitchen, golf shop, upstairs venue and other tasks as requested by the manager.

Temporary Access to the Club
Hello members and guests,
Our main driveway has been temporarily blocked due to the works taking place with Summerset Homes.

A temporary access driveway is in place to the right seen in image.

Take the car park entrance to the tavern and follow the track with care.

Opening day friendly 12 hole tournament sponsored by Pacific Homes.

Sunday 31st January roll up 9:30am for 10am tee off

$20 entry includes light lunch.

Ambrose mixed pairs.

The Whangarei Golf Club is situated only a 5-minute drive from the central city. Some of the course is set in native bush and can be a test for the serious golfer while still being fun for the social player.

Cancer Society - The longest day
Good morning all,

The Whangarei Golf Club is going to be hosting a golfing endurance event that will test your skill and stamina for one great cause, the Cancer Society.

We challenge anybody that is keen to join in and attempt to complete 72 holes of golf in 1 day.

The event is right through the month of December and you can participate any time, but we may look at a specific day if anybody else is wanting to join together e.g. the 21st December. We have a couple of people keen so if you want to join in on the event please send you contact details to [email protected]

Titleist competition
We have a winner!

During the past month we had many people buying boxes of Titleist golf balls each to go in the draw for the limited edition Titleist bag that was on display in the shop.

Mens Pairs Ambrose 2020
Calling all Men!

This years Mens Pairs Ambrose is approaching and we invite you to grab a mate and register your team in the ProShop. The registration sheet is out (in the shop) or give us a call (09 437 0775) and we can register you over the phone.

We are playing Blue tees, midday start with $5 per head entry.

Matt (Pro) & Dave (Manager) are already registered and we will draw one team to play with them on the day so you can try your luck against them.

Its a fun day so tell your mates, get in quick and lets register strong numbers for this one.
