A tough day at the Ford National Hockey Championship for our Northland NHC teams, with both sides going down in their quarter-final matches.

Northland 1 – 10 Canterbury Cavaliers
Both teams will regroup and turn their attention to Friday’s matches, with plenty still to play for.

Day 3 of the Ford National Hockey Championship saw the end of pool play for our Northland NHC teams.
🔵 NORTHLAND MEN
Northland 1 – 4 Waikato
🔵 NORTHLAND WOMEN
Northland 0 – 2 Canterbury Barracudas
Tomorrow brings a much-needed rest day for both teams — a chance to recover, reset and prepare for the business end of the tournament.
Then it’s all on for Thursday’s quarter-finals! 💪🏑

🏑 MIXED RESULTS FOR NORTHLAND TODAY
A mixed day for our Northland teams at the Ford National Hockey Championship in Wellington.
Our Northland Men went down 6–1 to North Harbour, while our Northland Women picked up a strong result with a 2–0 win over Waikato B. 💙

A huge congratulations from the entire Hockey Northland community to Jasmin Soutar on achieving the incredible milestone of 100 games for Northland today.

Reaching 100 games is a testament to many years of hard work, commitment, effort and dedication to representing Northland. Pulling on the Northland shirt 100 times is something very few players achieve, and Jasmin now joins an elite group of Northland players to have reached this milestone.

An outstanding achievement and one you, your family, teammates and the wider Northland hockey community can be extremely proud of.

We would like to advise the Hockey Northland Community that Gail Ambler will be moving on from her role with Hockey Northland.
Gail joined Hockey Northland in 2013 and has been part of the organisation for more than 13 years, contributing across a range of administrative and operational areas during her time with us.
We thank Gail for her contribution and service to Hockey Northland and wish her all the best for the next chapter.
