In this video, Coach Karen is using our "Five Little Ducks Went Out One Day" puppets with a group of children participating in one of our Active Tots sessions, and you can see just how captivated the children are.
While it might look like simple fun, puppet play is actually a powerful learning tool for young children.
🐥 Encourages imagination and creativity
🐥 Develops listening and concentration skills
🐥 Supports language and vocabulary development
🐥 Helps children understand sequencing and storytelling
🐥 Creates opportunities for social interaction and participation
🐥 Makes learning memorable through music, movement and play
Children learn best when they are engaged, and puppets have a wonderful way of bringing stories and songs to life. They spark curiosity, encourage participation, and help create meaningful connections between learning and play.
At Active Attitude, we're passionate about creating experiences that support children's physical, social, emotional and cognitive development, all while having lots of fun along the way!
Our next Active Tots session is on tomorrow (Tuesday) 9:30-10:15am. Further information about these sessions can be found here: https://www.activeattitude.co.nz/products/active-tots
