Shout out to our future adults/leaders/Parents and decision makers for your mahi and learnings🔥❤️🙌
We decided after traveling one of our rural roads regularly to the beach that we couldn’t but help notice the obvious rubbish along the road side.
We decided to make an event of it and do something about it.
OMG did we get a surprise. only 2.7 km roadside covered and this was the outcome. 😳
Majority sadly were alcohol bottles and cans of drinks alongside alot of random rubbish.
Our Moana Futures simple message to everyone for Xmas is “KEEP IT CLEAN KIWI’s”
Keep safe at the beach on da boat or in the water. See ya ova summer 🌺 ❤️❤️❤️.

What a magical 2 months: foundation boat safety, gathering kaimoana, gaining qualifications, building trust, routine and confidence - our guiding current. Nga mihi Tainui for trusting in our services and matauranga.
Thank you to NRC for the opportunity to share the importance of lifejackets and watersafety around boats and responsibilities.
And most importantly to our youth of tomorrow, for your interest and routine go learning ❤️❤️❤️

Safe boating was the plan today.
Learning the basics around engine maintenance and how to travel at a safe comfortable speed where people arnt getting wet or bounced around like popcorn.
First time skippers for some and learning how to operate tiller steering.
stronger then Tangaroa 🔥❤️

As we prepare for Summer season ☀️🙌
The team has enjoyed sharing the life skills of Mahi Whenua, Mahi Marae, Mahi Moana.
Sharing safety reminders as we feel the karanga of Tangaroa louder. We are also looking forward to mahi with our upcoming Roopu around the motu as we support growth and knowledge of the changing Taiao ❤️❤️❤️

Building confidence is sharing your views snd stories has had our Tauira exploring mahi Raranga, Powhiri Tikanga, Water Safety and sports challanges with other parties.
As importantly our multiple groups were able to work together safely with the skills acquired to collect and koha kaimoana to whanau during a time of saddness ❤️❤️❤️❤️
