This month, on September 28th, we’re heading to the stunning Kai Iwi Lakes for another great outing. Come join us for a flat and scenic 8km loop around the big lake—or, if you’re up for more, tackle all three lakes for a total of 14km.

🕘 Start Time: 9:00am — come a little early so we can sort into pace/distance groups.
🏃‍♂️ Options:

A flat and scenic 8km loop around the big lake

OR go big and run all three lakes for a 14km total

🚗 Carpooling will be available from Whangārei — let us know if you want to join and ride with others.

☕ Post-run coffee: TBC — but you know we’ll find somewhere good!

All levels welcome. Come for the run, stay for the vibes.

Hātea Run member Helen Waterworth has been chosen to represent New Zealand at the World Track 24 hour Championships! She’s a formidable runner who has competed in all kinds of running events and distances but track is a fairly new addition. We’ll be rooting for her to get that NZ female record she’s after! So proud! His and Hers Events LTD

Helen Waterworth only added track to her distance-running involvement in February.
