The decision has been made to call off today's last outdoor preseason session. Yesterday's rain has soaked the fields unfortunately. Senior indoor training will start this Wednesday night at 7:30. Get in touch with us if you would like to join us!

🐯 NEW HEAD COACH ANNOUNCEMENT 🐯

The Tigers are excited to welcome Prabodha Arthavidu (Artha) as the new Head Coach of Tikipunga Cricket Club.

Artha will be leading our Division One and senior playing groups as we continue to build a strong, competitive club both on and off the field.

His coaching background speaks for itself. Over the past decade he has worked across community, representative, pathway and high-performance cricket in New Zealand and overseas. His previous roles include Coaching and Development Manager with Marlborough Cricket, Pathway and Development Officer with Horowhenua Kapiti Cricket, and National Youth and Women's Coach with the Bahrain Cricket Federation. He currently works as Talent and Pathway Coach with Northern Districts Cricket Association.

Artha has a proven track record of developing players, supporting coaches, and creating environments where cricketers can improve and enjoy the game.

We're looking forward to seeing the impact he has around the club and can't wait to get started for the season ahead.

This morning we received the news that beloved member of the cricket community Tony "Tank" Edwards passed away last night.

An absolute legend out in the middle, our good mate Tank was a part of every cool thing we do here at the club. He was always ready to get out there and umpire to help us create some awesome memories.

Cricket in Northland will not be the same now. We feel very blessed to have had Tank and Kath present when we unveiled the new Orange Clash shield in his honour and can't wait to play for it in his memory later this year!

Rest well mate, enjoy the after match b**r!
