82cm - 22lb 10oz moocher off of the bricks, caught by our man .

Jump over and check him out.

Saya he owes the fish to as he dropped what he was doing to jump into the water to land the moocher.

Unfortunately didn't swim away as the Tāmure swallowed a circle hook.

Another successful Auckland Landbased mission. This time i meet up with the plan was to head into an area I've fished before and fish the morning change of light over lowtide and then after we get pushed off have a break put the rods down and do some prospecting for a potential spot for the afternoon/evening bite, with the moon rising it was looking like it would be a solid bite time. Fishing the morning was great with every bait resulting in 35-50cm snapper, we had lots of snapper attacking the berley bag at our feet. We were starting to get pushed off by the tide so last baits were called I hooked up to a nice fish but lost it. Bu**er! We then spent a good hour or so maping out where we could fish next. Got the second berley in at a nice looking spot within an hour it started to fire and the whole afternoon bite just went mental with the rising waxing moon. We started landing really nice fish and at one point I think we had a 20lber or close to it sitting in our berley.

sent this absolute reef donkey into us, Tumeke Tāmure being had off the bricks this time of the year and it seems like alot of people are making the absolute most of it.

18lb Tāmure released back to Tangaroa.

put his mum onto an absolute ripper the story below is how the action unfolded.

Fishing had slowed down abit and just when I was about to say" let's try another spot" I was up front of my boat and all of sudden I looked back heard mum reel screaming of and her rod bent and knew it was a good fish! She got into stanced position and fought the fish like a champ, keeping in mind we were only in 6m and we had to chase the fish down was some hair moments and at one time got her in the kelp which luckily mum did an amazing job staying connected to fish and drove over top of fish and get out. This is why you use 30lb fluro leader in shallows!

took last week's weather window and took his waverunner and fully sent it, with a bit of a quite trip he still managed to pluck this 62cm Tumeke Tāmure.

Loved his photos of the trips as it's something you don't see everyday.
