Whangarei Heads Surf Lifesaving

Hi everyone,

Whangārei Heads VSLSP Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Sunday 27th September 2026 4:00pm at Parua Bay Tavern (1034 Whangarei Heads Road, Parua Bay 0174).

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend, and we have a couple of currently vacant sub-committee positions to fill including Property Manager, Health and Safety Officer, and Fundraising Officer. It's also your chance to riase any discussion points, and vote on who all of your committee members are for the upcoming season.

On top of getting to socialise for a couple of hours, we'll shout members who attend a meal and drink. Please react to this or flick me a message if you intend to come so we can let the pub know numbers.

On Saturday evening we had our annual club prize giving! Thank you to those who attended and celebrated all the efforts this Season.

***Found ring***

One of our lifeguards retrieved this ring (men’s wedding band??) from the water near the rocks at the south end of the beach.

If it belongs to you please call the club (094340565) or come and see the guards at the clubhouse, and if you can show us a photo of you wearing it we’d love to get it back to the rightful owner.

Our IRB Race Team is Expanding!
This fundraiser aims to help cover the cost of essential gear and equipment for the upcoming season.

After an incredible season of racing last year, we’re eager to get back out there and build on our learnings.

We’d love to see the community come together to support the team at our upcoming Quiz Night. Team of up to 8-10. (Can be flexible on numbers)

Huge thanks to the Parua bay Tavern for accomodating this night. We can’t wait to see you there!

We’re back!!

This weekend we kicked off the season with our mass refreshers, making sure our lifeguards are fit and ready for summer! ☀️

Patrols will be running from 11am–4pm on weekends. See you on the beach! 🏖️
