🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨

Good news for The Mistress Dragracing Team…. We have purchased the ex Lindsay & Karen Hay Evil II Roadster to add to our fleet.

This has been purchased so Liam Murphy has a car for when he ages out of his junior dragster.

It will be an ongoing project for the 2 of us… don’t expect us to come out ready to race for a few years! This is a good safe car with a lot of history.

The plan is for Liam to race me and lose 😂

Thanks to Lindsay and Shona for the celebratory drinks 🥂

After 16.5 years of owning GAS Parua Bay we have decided it’s time to retire.
Our last day was today Monday 13th April

We have made many friends and have had amazing staff members, some who have become like family.

Now with no work restrictions we have more time for Dragracing, Golf, Fishing and Travelling.

According to Liam, all the profit from selling the business will be “invested” into Dragracing 😂😁

IHRA NZ NATIONALS - Meremere Dragway

Very proud grandparents after the racing over the weekend!

This was a 2 day event with qualifying on Saturday and racing on Sunday. Sunday was perfect weather for racing.

The Juniors were separated with the younger and beginner cars racing together and the faster cars racing together....yay!!

Unfortunately Brock lost his first round so was out for the day.

Alex and Liam both made it to the finals. Unfortunately Alex red lit handing the win to Kadyn Rodger-Eriksen.

Liam went up against Shavaun Harvey. His reaction times had been good all weekend and the car was running well.

1st win for Liam and hopefully many more to come, well done to the little fella for coming runner up in his first season of racing.

The weekends racing was really good with a lot of personal bests. The Slammer Series put on a great show, well done to Rod Benjes for getting that series together.

Was great watching the 3 Alcohol cars and the 3 Nitro cars race.

A big high five to Michael Franklin for now having the quickest and fastest Nitro Funny Car in New Zealand!!
