Picked up our Stabicraft 2350 from Twin Coast marine today, service and a couple of other things, excellent customer services as always. Fulled up at BP Whangarei and thought I would take her over the weigh bridge, 440 litres of fuel, we also have cages, bifold doors, fridge, quite a few xtras. Coming in at 3260 KG, bit heavier than I thought. That is including the Alloytech trailer. Got someone finding out the weight of the trailer. But yes interesting, usually cart 40 litres of water as well as other gear. My utes 3500kg towing capacity. FX4 max, tows her well.

https://youtu.be/5txgJdQ2s74 I got the afternoon off last minute, shot out wide between The Poor Knights Islands and Chicks in about 260m depth of water. Hoping for a marlin. Found a few bait balls on the surface, jumped in with my speargun. No Marlin.....then had a visit from this beauty. A Bryde's Whale, who came to check me out! What a Buzz.......

Disclaimer- We follow Marine Mammal rules, I didn't jump in on the Whale, it came to me.

Thanks for watching and please subscribe.

Hey fellow Spearo’s, we have a spearfishing charter heading to the Mokohinau Islands this Saturday the 18th. Weather looks good at this stage. Variable 5 Knots in the morning, then up to 12 knot NW on the way home. So we’ll be leaving Marsden Cove Marina at 06:00. I launch on the Whangarei Heads side, so you could meet me there too. Room for 6 Spearo’s. That’s all I’m keen to take as we don’t want a cramped trip. I’ve kept the price down as much as possible. The running and compliance costs are high 🫣 So it’s going to be $350 per Spearo. That gets you 10-11 hours out on the water, jumping in and out of spots all day. With me drifting close by in the Stabicraft 2350, taking your fish off you as you land it, cuts out the bronzie taxes. I have hot coffee, chocolate and tea onboard, included. You’ll need your lunch, drink and spearfishing gear. All ages and abilities welcome. Yes there is a toilet onboard with a privacy curtain. Contact myself on 0211147466. Cheers Blair
