Another pretty special experience with Grandad bringing his twin grandsons out for a hunting experience with us. Both the boys managed to successfully tick off their first deer. While these guys are normally out fishing or talking fishing this was a cool new experience for the keen young lads.

A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to enter our sponsored hunt giveaway. We had some fantastic entries, and choosing a winner certainly wasn’t easy!

Congratulations to Rory Francis, whose dream hunt story earned him this year’s prize. We can’t wait to get you out on the hills for a hunt with us at Backblocks Guided Hunting & Adventures.

A big thanks to everyone who entered, and to the organisers and the team at Wilsons Hunting and Outdoors for putting on another great event. It’s fantastic to see so many young hunters getting involved and carrying on the future of hunting.

It’s that time of the year again!

We’re proud to be supporting the Wilsons Hunting and Outdoors Kids Hunt!

As part of our sponsorship, we’re giving one lucky youngster and their parent or caregiver the chance to win a half-day hunt with us at Backblocks Guided Hunting & Adventures.

To be in the draw, we’d love to hear from the kids. Tell us what hunting means to you, what hunt has stood out the most so far, or what animal you’d love the chance to hunt one day. We’d also love to hear why you’d like to spend an afternoon hunting with us!

Entries can be dropped into Wilsons Hunting and Outdoors or emailed to [email protected].

This competition is open to entrants of the Wilsons Hunting and Outdoors Kids Hunt 2026 only.

Entries close on 15 July 2026, with the winner announced at the competition weigh-in.

We like knowing our clients can rely on us when the freezer starts looking a bit low. A couple of great meat animals on the ground and plenty of quality venison heading home with Josh👌🏼🍽️
