Wanganui East Snooker players had another blast today (day 2) of the NZMBSA NZ Nationals. From a strong field of 64 players
Graeme Dorman & Peter Bouzaid made it to the top 8 players in the main event
Steve Cain in the plate section & Roy O'Connor is in the Consolation section. Last day tomorrow

Wanganui East players Mike Watson & Jack Lemon got to the quarter finals of the main.
Steve Cain & Peter Bouzaid finished, runners up in the plate final.

Here are the final results from the Morehu Open Snooker held on Saturday.

Congratulations to Matiu Williams defeating Benji Kidd in the final 3/2

The Consolation Winner was Paul Charles,defeating Allan Westwood 2/0

Benji Kidd took out the High Break prize with a 67

Congratulations to Neil Johnson, from Waikanae, defeating Travis Clive-Griffin of Wairarapa 2/1 in the final
of the 2026 Wanganui East ‘Clubman’ Championship.
As the winner, Neil receives an invitation to compete in next year’s premier event, the 2027 AG Challenge Tournament.


The division winners were:
Main Winner: Neil Johnson of Waikanae
Flight Winner: Terry Wright of Wanganui
Plate Winner: Chris Jackson of Wairarapa
Consolation Winner: Paul Charles of Wanganui

The Clubman, was a resounding success, marked by excellent camaraderie among its participants on and off the table.
