Congratulations Rātana Pā Sports Club!

"Rātana Pā Sports Club has shown continued dedication to growing rugby league in its small community, located between Palmerston North and Whanganui. Historically been a rugby union dominant community, in 2024 the sports club established the area’s first men’s and women’s teams in the Manawatū Rugby League senior competition. Building on this momentum, in 2025 the club established a junior programme, entering six teams into the Manawatū junior competitions, with 100 tamariki, teina, and rangatahi getting involved. Now, juniors and seniors from the Pā have been provided the opportunity to play rugby league, and the Manawatū District competitions have grown through the addition of the Sports Club’s teams."

Calling all our future footy stars! The Hauraki Tigers are on the lookout for players for the 2026 WRL season.

From under 5s right through to Under 17s, we want to see you on the field representing Hauraki with pride. Whether you're a first-timer or a returning player, come down and join the Tiger whānau!

The WRL season typically runs from May through to August.
U5-U12 All games played at Hopuhopu on Saturday.
U13-U17 All games played at Hopuhopu on Sunday.
This muster is the best way to get involved.

With heavy hearts, we mourn the loss of one of our very own Hauraki Tigers. Our love and aroha are with his whānau as we await his return home to Hauraki. 💛🖤

What a year our club has had. Going strength to strength in our junior grades.
Not only the introduction of an u15s Kōtiro and Tāne grade but to now know, several of our Whai pups (juvenile Whai) have also been selected to represent Hauraki/Coastline in the Shaun Johnson cup and Dean Bell cup in 2026.
Congratulations not only to our Whai players who made the team, but all the players from Hauraki who showed up to show out.
