leagues in New Zealand. WRDL became a full member of the Womens Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) in September 2016 - meaning we can enjoy the benefits of full WFTDA membership, including the ability to compete in sanctioned games that qualify for WFTDA ranking. WRDL is committed to fostering a positive, inspiring environment while we encourage development, skill and sportsmanship. We continue to be proudly 100% skater operated.

5:15-6:15pm skating footwork skills, endurance and agility skills.
6:15-7:15pm team work skating and roller derby game play strategies.

Shout out to one of our OGs and much loved players, Pare Rocker. After many many years with WRDL, her love for the sport has never lessened and tonight Pare made her coaching debut at our Wednesday night session. It was awesome e hoa, thank youuuuuu! 2 sessions left to learn to skate with WRDL before we go into summer break. Don't be shy! 😁😁😁

We are so stoked for our neighbours/friends over at Sulphur City Steam Rollers who recently returned from Australia after absolutely dominating in Div 2 of the Tropicarnage cup 2023. Massive congratulations for the inspirational performance Motley Crew. Absolute legends 😁🏆💪 #1
