SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING
The Whakatāne Sportfishing Club wishes to advise all members that a Special General Meeting will be held in the Clubrooms on:
Monday 28 September 2026
6.00pm
This meeting will provide members with a comprehensive update on the proposed relocation of the Club.
We will outline the work that has been undertaken to date, explain the matters that are still to be resolved, and discuss the options currently being considered as we work through the next steps.
This is an important opportunity for members to hear the latest information, ask questions and be part of the discussion.
We encourage all members to attend.
We look forward to seeing you all! 🙂

What a great month of fishing!

Congratulations to all our anglers who measured and submitted Kahawai and Snapper for our August Month-Long Kahawai Tournament.

Across the month, an impressive 35 Kahawai and 22 Snapper were measured and submitted.

Congratulations Sam Jackson!

Sam was unfortunately unwell and unable to join us for our Awards Evening, so he popped into the club during the Kahawai Prizegiving to collect his trophies.

It was great to finally present them to him!

Congratulations Sam on an amazing year of fishing achievements. A fantastic effort and very well deserved.

BRIEFING
Friday 9 October, after Club Night
Skippers must attend the briefing. Remember to sign in and collect your skipper pack.
FISHING
Saturday 10 October
Fishing commences: 6am
Fishing concludes: 5pm

Saturday 10 October from 7pm

Full WSFC Member – $40
