This afternoon, we had the Police draw our raffle winners....

Yes, you are reading that right, we had to double check this side also! Congratulations to Misty and Tony, both winners have been contacted to receive their prize money.

We'd like to thank A&J Mitchell Contracting and London Landscapes for sponsoring our cash prizes. Without their support this raffle would not have been so successful.

A huge thank you to all of our Buller Community for supporting this fundraising drive, a special thanks to our club members for taking the time to sell raffle cards and man the raffle table at New World. A very, very special mention must go out to the Volckman crew of Karamea, who managed to sell 3 SHEETS of raffles in Karamea, raising $1070 for the club!🙌💰🤸 How amazing is Karamea?!

Hi Everyone,

Registrations are now open for Hokitika Gymnastics Club Annual Competition, being held on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September 2026 at the Westland High School Gymnasium.

As we have mentioned before competitions are optional to attend, The Hokitika competitions are small, family friendly and a supportive event. We send our coaches to support our gymnasts and it is usually a really fun weekend for everyone! It is also the closest competition we attend as a club so a great opportunity for a day trip to check out what it's all about.

Entries are $50 per gymnast and close on FRIDAY 27 August and are non-refunable after this date. No Payment no entry.

Payments should be made into BGC bank account: 03 1354 0404963 00 with Hoki comp and gymnasts name as references.

A few details for the weekend:

Venue: Westland High School Gymnasium

Parking: Plenty of free parking is available on Park Street

Spectators: Gold coin entry

Food & coffee: Available on site throughout the competition, with cash and EFTPOS available

Grades: Open to gymnasts of all grades. Where numbers allow, grades will be split by age.

Boys: Boys will compete in their own division for placings/overall results, but will remain grouped with their club for apparatus rotations

Timetable

The competition timetable will be confirmed once entries have closed and numbers have been collated.

Judges

Judges are required from all clubs attending. Any parents who are interested in giving judging a go please let us know. You will, of course, not be asked to judge your own child.

Bars

The bars in the hokitika Gymnasium are not bolted down. Last year they placed gym floor underneath them and found there was minimal movement.

Rings – Boys

Boys competing in Grade 2 and above will complete rings. The rings will be correctly set up and thoroughly tested prior to competition to ensure they are secure and ready for use.

Once entries have closed, Hokitika gym club will send out the confirmed timetable and any further competition information, this will be promptly passed onto attending families.

Leotards and Unitards

These are essential for competitions to ensure we represent our Club with professionalism and pride. limited stock available so please get in touch.

Please return all cards & money (sold and unsold) to the club on Thursday 3.30-6.15pm or the front office of Buller Chartered Accountants on Wakefield Street by Friday 14th August 4pm.

Please return ALL raffle cards to class this week. Not sold all of them? No worries! Just return what you have sold with the money so we can do the draw on Monday 17th August.
