Congratulations to Wellsford's Harley Wade who is representing Northland at the Junior Quads tournament at Whakatane this weekend. All the best to you and the team Harley!

Congratulations to our 2026 Northland Quadrangular Junior Team!
Our team head to Whakatāne for the tournament on Friday and will play Auckland, Waikato and the Bay of Plenty over the weekend.

Friendly reminder we have our DEMO NIGHT on tomorrow
Wednesday 25th March (5.30pm to 8pm)

HEAD & TECNIFIBRE RACQUETS, SHOES AND RACQUET RESTRINGING

We have Paul Hornsby hosting a Demo Night at Wellsford. He will have HEAD and Tecnifibre Rackets available to try & buy (or order) on the night. ALL FRAMES WILL BE MINIMUM 20% off RRP.
Paul will also have Kanso Shoes available to look at and order. The shoes can either be delivered to an address or Paul can drop them off at the club on Tuesdays.
Do you need to restring your racquet? Paul will also bring his stringing machine to do jobs on the night - Tecnifibre, Ashaway and HEAD strings available. Prices range from $50-60

UPDATE: RESULTS FROM TOURNAMENT
Our Wellsford crew did well over the weekend.
Matthew - Mens Open, 5th seed, placed 3rd
Harley - Mens Div 1 - 7th seed, placed 5th
Anna - Womens Div 1 - top seed, placed 2nd after a close final which went to 5
Pam - Womens Div 1 - seeded and placed 8th
Kurtis and Tom - Mixed Doubles - 5th seed, placed 3rd.

Special mention to Pam who was playing her first tournament. Was up against some tough competition being in Division 1. Her 3rd match playing for 7th/8th was impressive. Pam managed to get 1 game off her opponent and 2 other games were high scoring too. 9/11, 11/9, 12/10, 11/5.

BUSINESS HOUSE
The last night of Business House squash is tonight - see draw below.

We hope you've all enjoyed business house and are keen to get into the squash season ahead. We have a sign up sheet on the noticeboard if you would like to join one of our Senior Nights (Wednesdays or Thursdays). If you have any queries please feel free to have a chat with Mirna, Edwina or Ken.

We’re excited to share that the first two sponsorship signs have now been installed on our court tins. We’re incredibly grateful to the members who have chosen to support the Club in this way - your contribution genuinely helps us continue improving the Wellsford Squash Club.
Ben Wade, the Moa man, now has his sign proudly displayed on Court 1 and Luke Canton of Flashpoint Accounting has his sign on Court 2.

Two more signs are on the way and should be installed within the next week or two.

A big thank you to Ben and Luke from the Squash Committee and all our members. Your support is truly appreciated.

Thank you also to Sam from Misfit Signs. Sam has been fantastic to work with and I’m sure you will all agree that the signs look great.

Business House – Week 2
It was great to see so many happy faces back on court last week. Getting into the swing of things after a long Summer break can be tough, but everyone gave it their best and we saw some really good matches. A big thank you to those who welcomed and encouraged our beginners — it makes a huge difference. Looking forward to another fun night tomorrow.
Remember the bar and kitchen will be open.
