🏆 Athletics Prize Giving 2025/2026 🏆

What a fantastic way to wrap up the season - celebrating the effort and achievements of all our athletes. We’re incredibly proud of everyone who gave it their all this year!

We awarded two new trophies this year:
✨ The 15–18 Year Old Female Trophy, sponsored by the amazing Mad Mel Movement. Check out her gym - sign up for a free trial and see if it's for you: madmelmovement.co.nz

✨ The Chris Ahern Cup. Coach Chris is deeply missed and we are proud to introduce this special cup to honour the values he brought to every session.

Congratulations to all of our deserving winners! 👏

A big thank you to Carol and Emma from Ray White for sponsoring our BBQ sausages and to the Moonsamys for cooking them. We really appreciate your support! If you're thinking of selling, get in touch with Carol and mention you're a member. They’ll make a $500 donation to the Club if you list and sell with them.

Thanks to our amazing coaches who generously give their time and energy each week. You not only teach skills and teamwork, but also inspire our kids to show up as their best selves, build confidence, and continue growing throughout the season. We couldn't do it without you.

Thank you to our committee - and especially to our President, Tina - for the countless hours, dedication, and behind-the-scenes effort you put in. Your leadership and passion keep everything moving forward, and we are so grateful!

Today is our final athletics session for the season!

We’ll run some fun games for the kids then each athlete will receive a sausage and an ice block, and we’ll finish with prize-giving, including a few spot prizes.

Magic day at Top Of The Rock Kaiwaka! Jacko took out first place in the 5km🥇 and these other little legends conquered the 10km. Well done athletes and thanks to all the amazing volunteers and sponsors!

ATHLETICS TONIGHT!

Please meet at the container for a 5:30pm start. Our 11 year old+ athletes will be finishing points events.

Next week will be our final athletics night and prize giving.

FINAL POINTS NIGHT!

Please arrive promptly for a 5:30pm start.

We’ll be breaking into age groups based on each child’s age as of 31 December, so some children may be placed in a different group than usual. We’ll be recording times and measurements so the kids can track their progress from the start of the season.

We will need parent volunteers again to help record results and assist with running the events.
