In just our second season, we claimed the B Grade title, setting the stage for decades of memorable performances. Our legacy is built on the passion and dedication of our founding members, such as Rohan Mendis, Riza, Ajith Fernando, and the legendary Fernando family. 🎉

From the early days of self-supplied gear and rotating players, to historic moments like our first centurion and standout bowling performances, we’ve grown stronger each year. With both senior and junior teams, we’re proud to continue our tradition of excellence in Wellington’s cricket scene. INDOOR CRICKET SUPERLEAGUE – BRONZE MEDAL 🥉

A huge congratulations to our boys from Cow Corner Hunter Lions, representing Wellington Indoor Sports, on an outstanding season in the Indoor Cricket SuperLeague held over the past 4 months!

After qualifying for Division 1 in the Opens Grade with a strong performance in the early rounds, the boys put together a spectacular campaign, finishing 3rd out of 10 teams.

Their journey came to a heartbreaking end in a last-ball thriller against Hutt Pups in the division 1 semi-final. While the result didn’t go their way, the boys can be incredibly proud of what they achieved this season.

Congratulations, boys! A fantastic effort from start to finish, and a great platform to build on. Let's take that energy outdoors and get ready for the Lions Sports Club season!

Lions Sports Club is opening its doors to cricketers across the Wellington region who are interested in playing Premier or Premier Reserve Grade cricket.

Come along, meet the coaches and players, get amongst the session and work your skills. No big promises, no pressure — just a good opportunity to train, connect and be part of the Lions family.
