If you're looking for something to do to start the Wellington long weekend, head on down to McEwan Park in Petone for the first Flag Football competition of the year.

The Hutt Valley Spartans are hosting the Windy City Showdown, with 9 teams coming to grab the first trophy of the year.

Teams are coming from Nelson, Taranaki and Hawkes Bay. You'll also see the local clubs the Wellington Wolves and the Hutt Valley Spartans.

📢 No football this weekend. With the forecast weather this week we will not be holding a contact training session this weekend.

We apologize for the late notice.

This Saturday sees another contact training session this time in Newlands with an earlier start time. The training session will cover all the basic skills and drills.

10am Saturday the 9th of December at Newlands Intermediate on the the turf.
This is an open season combining all 3 clubs Hutt Valley Spartans Wellington Wolves and Porirua Warriors

All you need to bring is a mouthgaurd, large shirt to fit over the pads, Boots and a water bottle. All other gear will be supplied for you on the day.

At this stage it is only open to 17 years and above.

10am Saturday the 2nd od December at Cannons Creek park in Porirua
This is an open season combining all 3 clubs Hutt Valley Spartans Wellington Wolves and Porirua Warriors

Contact football is making its long awaited return to the capital this Saturday with a regional training session. The training session will cover all the basic skills and drills.

1pm Saturday the 25th at McEwan Park in Petone.
This is an open season combining all 3 clubs Hutt Valley Spartans Wellington Wolves Porirua Warriors .

All you need to bring is a mouthgaurd, Boots and a water bottle. All other gear will be supplied for you on the day.

At this stage it is only open to 17 years and above.
