Capital Penguins Inline Hockey Club is a friendly and family-oriented club that has had success at all levels of the game including national selection for our players. Our training sessions are on weekday evenings with teams in each of Under 10, Under 12, Under 14, Under 16, Under 19, Junior Women, Women, Senior Social (B), Senior competitive (A) and Premier Men (Open). The Club is involved in the
development of the sport and has partnered with KiwiSport and the Wellington City Council to offer local primary schools a 10 week SlapShot Hockey programme. In addition, we provide opportunities for members' development into coaching, refereeing and managerial roles. Active since 1994, our home rink is at the Kilbirnie Recreation Centre in Wellington. Our Club competes at all levels in the NZIHA Lower North Regional and New Zealand National inline hockey competitions and regularly attends invitational tournaments at both Junior and Senior levels. Our national organisation is the New Zealand Inline Hockey Association (NZIHA) and we play regionally in the Lower North Island (LNI) competition.
