Over the weekend the Axemen lost club legend James (Jimmy) Mei.

Jimmy played for the Axemen in one our most successful eras in the mid 1980's winning both Swindale Shields and Jubilee Cups. Jimmy also represented the Wellington Lions and was a Maori All Black in 1987.

The club proudly celebrated Jimmy's achievements as both an Axeman and a Wellington representative in 2022.
