Asking for a friend...
did anyone pick up a medium pair of red back fins at Capital Coast Champs on 09AUG. They have a double notch on the top of each fin. Just on one side (as highlighted in pic).

Woot! Congratulations to Maranui clubbie Harvey Revell for being selected to the National Youth Squad for swimming. Embracing the mahi, living the dream.

Congratulations to Harvey on his selection for the Swimming NZ National Youth Programme Age-Group Squad following his outstanding performances at the National Age Group Championships. Harvey will attend a five-day high-performance training camp in Christchurch during the October holidays, working alongside New Zealandโ€™s top age-group swimmers and learning from national and Olympic coaches. An incredible achievement!

July 1st has ticked over, our membership renewals have gone out and we thought it was time for an update on the situation down at the beach.

It's simple, we are open for business as usual, and we're looking forward to another great season on and around Lyall Bay.

Many members, families, and beach users will be aware of the ongoing recovery programme at Wellington Water's Moa Point Wastewater Treatment Plant. We know there is significant public interest in this issue, and people may have questions about what it means for activities at the club.

We will continue to follow all public health guidance and water quality advice to help ensure our members can participate safely and confidently in club activities.

Maranui will continue to:

Follow all public health and LAWA water quality guidance.
Monitor water quality advice and beach conditions.
Advise members to stay out of the water when warnings are in place.
Consider alternative locations for Nippers and other water-based activities if conditions make this appropriate.
Keep members informed of any changes that may affect club activities.
Importantly, club activities, training programmes, patrols, and events will continue to operate as normal unless advised otherwise.

For the latest information about the Moa Point recovery programme, we encourage members and visitors to visit the Tiaki Wai information hub, which provides the most up-to-date information and project updates:

https://tiakiwai.co.nz/moa-point-info-hub

For current beach water quality information and swimming advice, please visit:

https://www.lawa.org.nz/explore-data/wellington-region/coastal-water-quality/
We look forward to seeing everyone back on the beach and in the water this season.

A powerful new collaboration between artists Ellie Compton and Clint C will see art and community come together in support of Maranui Surf Lifesaving Club.

Created especially for the NZ Art Show, Art is a Lifesaver is a one-off collaborative artwork, with 100% of proceeds being donated to Maranui Surf Lifesaving Club.

The initiative celebrates not only creativity and collaboration, but also the people and organisations who work tirelessly to keep Wellingtonโ€™s coastline safe.

Open to bidders from far and wide via
